Support Guide
Your bundle arrives pre-configured. Setup at the venue takes about two minutes.
Mini Computer
Pre-configured with Band-Fans and your band settings. Runs the server that fans connect to.
WiFi Router
A dedicated router just for your show. Fans connect to its network — no venue internet required.
Power Adapters
One for the mini computer, one for the router. Both included.
Ethernet Cable
Connects the mini computer to the router for a reliable wired connection.
Place the router
Put the router somewhere central — on a table, a speaker cabinet, or any elevated spot. The further the router is from walls and obstructions, the better your fan coverage.
Power on the router
Plug the router into a power outlet. Give it 30–60 seconds to fully start up. The indicator lights will stabilize when it's ready.
Connect the mini computer to the router
Run the included ethernet cable from one of the router's LAN ports to the ethernet port on the mini computer.
Power on the mini computer
Plug the mini computer into a power outlet. Band-Fans starts automatically — no keyboard or monitor needed. It's ready when the startup light stops blinking (about 30 seconds).
Connect your laptop to the show WiFi
On your laptop or phone, connect to the WiFi network named for your show (it was set up when your bundle was configured). The default password is on the card included in your box.
Open the admin interface
Open a browser and go to http://band-fans.local or the IP address on your setup card. You'll see the Band-Fans admin interface.
Start your show
Create a new show, add your setlist if you have one, and click Start Show. Display the QR code on stage for fans to scan.
End the show from the admin interface. Show data (fan count, requests, setlist) is stored locally on the mini computer.
If you want show data to sync to your band-fans.com account, connect the mini computer to a network with internet access (like your phone hotspot) after the show. The sync happens automatically.
Power off the mini computer and router when you're done. Everything is saved and will be ready for your next show.
💡 Tip — keep everything plugged in during the show
The mini computer draws very little power. Leave it running for the full show rather than powering it off between sets — reconnecting fans mid-show takes time.
